Here is my first attempt at spinning lace weight silk ...

It only stayed in a hank long enough to dry and set the twist because its so yummy. Here's a challenge ... try knitting with this yarn in a simple lace pattern in the pitch black while in the car. Its nearly become a scarf ... pictures when its finished

On the test knitting front progress has been a little slow the last week. I forget how busy December is. However SSS is going travelling. I'm heading to Germany tomorrow for a few days and will probably pop over to France as well and look forward to more testing. The yarn estimate is around 1500m for swatch and shawl if you're using my gauge and fine yarn.
